Welcome to Overlap Season

Your body isn’t
broken.
It’s doing two things
at once.

Postpartum. Perimenopause. At the same time, in your 40s — and nobody wrote the manual for this. Until now.

I’m almost 40,
postpartum, probably
perimenopausal, and
absolutely fine.

I’m Ashley — an Arizona mom, married for ten years, raising a spirited 5-year-old and a 10-month-old who still hasn’t figured out that 3am is for sleeping. I started Overlap Season because I couldn’t find a single space online that was honest about what it feels like to be postpartum and approaching perimenopause at the same time.

The brain fog. The night sweats I couldn’t explain. The mood swings I kept apologizing for. The doctor’s appointments where I left with more questions than answers. I spent months convinced something was wrong with me — until I realized I wasn’t broken. I was just in the overlap season. And so are a lot of other women who deserve to know that.

This is the space I wish had existed when I needed it most. Welcome.
